COVID-19 precautions

UPDATE Friday 20th March 2020:

The Dock is 500m2,  so we have social distancing measures in place between tables and are limiting the number of people in our Main Dining and River bar areas to meet the 1 person per 4m2 guideline brought in today.

Please read below for further measures we are taking.

UPDATE Wednesday 18th March 2020:

At The Dock Mooloolaba we will continue to be guided by advice from the government and health authorities. We will be reducing the number of bookings taken and increasing spacing between tables to increase social distancing.

We recommend booking for lunch or dinner during the coming weeks so we can better manage the limits on indoor gatherings. We also have our outdoor area available.

The government has said more information and guidelines will be available soon and we will provide you with more information after this further advice has been given.

If you have a large group booking we will be contacting you directly soon. If we can assist with anything, please contact us on info@thedockmooloolaba.com.

Tuesday 17th March 2020:

As we all face challenging times with the rapidly evolving situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we wanted to provide you with more information about the additional measures The Dock Mooloolaba is taking.

The safety of all our guests, employees and the community, remain as always, our top priority and we will remain calm, but vigilant, as the situation continues to evolve.

Whilst we have always had rigorous and strict cleaning and hygiene standards in place, we are adding additional measures to ensure risks are minimised and we are following the guidelines provided by our government and health authorities.

Additional precautionary measures we are taking include:

  • Increased food safety measures, both within the kitchen and in consultation with our suppliers
  • Additional training with staff around COVID-19 hygiene practices
  • Minimising person-to-person contact within the venue
  • Additional cleaning within the venue
  • Making hand sanitiser available to staff and guests
  • Restrictions on staff – anyone with symptoms or who has travelled internationally within the past 14 days, are staying home

We are continuing to monitor the situation, including advice from the government and health authorities and will act accordingly. In the meantime, we are open for business and encourage you to continue to support local businesses where you can.

We look forward to seeing you soon. If we can assist with anything, please contact us on info@thedockmooloolaba.com.
